A painting that's been gathering dust for a while. Painted as a gift for my brother on his 30th birthday. Inspired by the Norwegian coat of arms (anyone with a Norwegian passport, check out the front , although alot of artistic liberties were taken. Designing and painting the shield probably took the longest.
Preliminary sketches with pencil, inks and paper where done before scanning those in and painting in Photoshop. My first attempt at a bigger scale painting. Final image is 6000 pixels in height.
